Pop Art

I just finished this "PopArt" portrait of my beautiful husband!  It was SO much fun!  I need to "tweak" the next one I do, but I just love the way it turned out...for the most part!  I definitely love my sweetie!

Pillows, Pillows, Pillows

As soon as I can find where I stored all my photos of my pillow projects, I will upload more.  I was very much "sewing illiterate" until a friend lead me by the hand and showed me that even I could make a straight stitch!  (Thank you, Kay!)  Last year, almost everybody I know received a personalized pillow for Christmas. Using the laser printer and the Citrasolve method, I've really had a blast making these rascals!

Chalk Paint furniture

Meet Lillie!
Well, this is my newest creation.  I repainted it twice because I messed it up ROYALLY the first time.  I'm liking how it finally turned out.  I used Annie Sloan paint and it is SO amazing.  NO priming and NO sanding and absolutely NO prepping!  The stuff dries fast; can be distressed easy...and costs a bloody fortune!  I'm glad I tried it, but I'm about out. :( I've have lots more projects down the pike, and will be trying one of the recipes I have found to make your own chalk paint.  (Stay tuned for possible and likely upcoming furniture fiascos!)  My design, again, came from the Graphics Fairy.

Graphics Fairy Step Stool

If you have never visited The Graphics Fairy, you have missed out on something magical.  I have learned so much by visiting her blog; using her FREE vintage graphic downloads; and plain old been inspired by her creativity.  I made this stool using her design and the CitraSolv transfer method.  I've made several other pieces using her designs and this method to transfer images.  I'll upload more soon.

Lillie's Bucket

Our dog, Lillie, has more toys than most kids I know.  I got tired of them being strewn all over the house, so I made her a bucket.  Again, I used my Cricut and a bucket from Dollar Tree and "personalized" it.  If I could get her to put her toys back into the bucket, I'd really be accomplishing something!

Personalized Ornaments!!!

I bet I've personalized a bizillion ornaments over the years!  (slight exaggeration)  What I do is buy white ornaments after Christmas, CRAZY cheap, then using a Sharpie, I'll free hand the name and then add holly and berries and the date!

Personalizing the car

One of the things I have done is to use the Cricut to make a "Stick family" of my real family.  I used the Oracle film.  It's been four years since I did this, and it's still there!
